I was only able to attend the show at the Air Zoo (without my Checker), but I wanted to say THANKS to all the people who helped arranged this show.
I just want to add how nice it was to hold the show at a venue where I could bring my young kids and be able to keep them entertained - They loved the Checkers and the Air Zoo. Thanks!

I hope everyone enjoyed the surprise we had ... the Speed TV show "101 Cars You Must Drive" was there filming the Checkers for an episode. The producer Stan Rarden (also produces "Off Road A to Z" and "American Muscle Car") was at the Pep Boys cruise-in Friday night collecting background and the film crew plus the star, Alonzo Bodden, was at the Air Zoo Saturday interviewing some of the owners and driving one of the Checkers. I'm told the show airs at 9 PM ET (plus other times) and the episode filmed at the Air Zoo should be on in 3 or 4 weeks.

For more info about the program:

After a long week of work, we now have lots of photos online. I asked my son and his wife to take photos of everything because I knew I wouldn't have time to get very many and that I would miss a lot. They took me literally ... almost 1,300 photos. I've cut it to around 500 but there are still more photos than most anyone could want.

I've added some captions but I'm a long ways from done. Anyone who is a club member and logged in should be able to update the captions on their cars. If you can't or don't want to, send me an email with the photo link and the caption you would like on it ... and I'll eventually get around to posting it.

Chad Elmore contributed a photo album as did Junkmaster81AZ ...

Here is a link to all three in albums in the National Shows section:

Pedro also contributed. Here's a link to his convention photos in the Member's section:

Last night (Monday 7/28/08) episode # 5 of 101 Cars opened with Alonzo Bodden standing by Jim Garrison's 31 M to do the intro.

They haven't posted the lineup for next week on their web site yet. But it might be the cab episode they filmed at the convention. The first airing of the next episode should be Monday August 4 at 9 PM EDT

Episode # 6 of "101 Cars" is titled "Party Over Where? Party Over Here!"

Do you think that might be the London and Checker Cab episode?
