Today there were 4, repeat, 4 Checkers on the Hot Rod Power Tour.

Three of us were club members:

Paul & Sue Worth in their 69 A-12

Rick & Beverly Buck in their 69 A-12

John & Kerry Weinhoeft in their 81 A-12

And while we three were all at the Illinios State Fairgrounds in Springfield (the evening stop), in rolls a dark blue 1977 A-11 that passed through SE Florida Checker ... it was fancy but not done as a classic Winkoff ... The driver, Tom, will be joining the club ...

Unfortunately, Rick & Bev and John & Kerry are staying home in Springfield and Tom has to go back to Iowa also ... so only Paul & Sue will be running with the rest of the Power Tour to Evansville, IN, Mempis and Little Rock.

We finished the "Long Haul" and had a blast! I would highly recommend the Hot Rod Power Tour to anyone who loves cars. Rumor has it that they will be running from Little Rock, AR to Madison, WI next year; probably the last run before heading west again. Do it if you can!
