A revisit from the post in May.Leon , et al:
I owned a Medicar in 1979 to 1980. I bought it in Florida, and brought it up to Connecticut a few months later. I think mine was converted in that a front bench seat was inplace instead of a single seat. There were "divots" for the rear wheels to drop into. Yes, the rear door swung a full 180 degrees (so that you would cover the front doors). I had a ramp that would hook on to the edge of the car at the door opening so you could roll the chair into the car. I guess it was an A12 (long body right?).
After I had bought it, I saw a bunch of bondo in the right rear. I called the seller and asked about the "accident." They said it happened in the left front. So it had had at least two accidents.
It seemed to crack flywheels on a regular basis (auto trans). I suspect the multiple accidents didn't help.
I sold it for $50 more than I bought it for. I guy moving out to California bought it. He was going to sell it, but after he got there, he decided to keep it (good!).
For laughs, I went to look for the VIN and found it(!). A12E606801603A anybody own it?
