A club member asked me how to do this. There used to be a posting but I couldn't find it with a quick search so I'm repeating the instructions here:
- Find the photo you want to use on your machine (or go take a photo with your camera and upload to your computer)
- Use Photoshop (or other photo editing program but Photoshop is the easiest I've found for this because it has a pixel count feature on one of the screens if you dig deep enough), and crop / resize it to no more than 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall and 6K in size or less
Note: If you do not have any photo editing software, you can use the Paint program included in Windows and some creative use of the Image tab - Stretch / Skew option and then double-check the pixel count with Image tab - Attributes option
- Save the resized photo under a new name (make a note of the file name and directory because you'll need it in step 10 & 11)
- Go to the club web site
- Log in with your username and password
- Go to the message board
- Select profile in the upper gray menu bar
- Scroll down to "Avatar Control Panel"
- On "Upload Avatar from Your Machine" click browse
- Find the photo from step 3
- Select it
- Click "Submit"
Until you change it, that photo will be associated with your message postings.
