Is there any connection between Yellow cab, Yellow trucking, and Yellow ambulance?

I believe the answer is yes to ambulance, not sure on trucking

I hear Yellow Cab was a separate car company early in the 20th Century that GM purchased. Is this so? A Yellow Cab manufacturing plant was just up the railroad tracks from me at what is now a GM truck plant in Pontiac, MI. Maybe Yellow Cab also built trucks as I believe GM has always built trucks and at one time buses at this location. Anyone know anything about Yellow Cab the manufacturer? Maybe the "Cab" part of the name was truck cabs and not taxi cabs? By the way, the railroad signal located alongside the plant is still called Yellow Cab as is the switch yard located there to service the plant. Historic names rarely change on railroads.

I know of a guy who has a '22 Yellow that he says came from the factory as a pickup, although the bed is missing (it's for sale, btw). GM did buy Yellow and turned it into General cab, though I don't know the year.

I've posted a photo of the Yellow truck in my Member's gallery.
