Amy,Like any used or classic car, the value is whatever someone will pay for it. References like Kelly Blue Book are simply a guide.
Based on recent sales on eBay, the typical "nice" (but by no means perfect) well maintained Checker sells for between $5,000 and $8,000. A number of these cars were listed at least twice before selling.
The only "normal" wagon sale was a 66 for $3,500. A 64 8 door (the most common) Aerobus went for $8,000, a 64 Chrysler 6 door (rare) Aerobus went for $910, a 73 8 door Aerobus went for $1,875. Several other wagons were for sale numerous times and never sold.
A fairly rare Medicar in good shape went for $8,900 and a pickup (one of only two ever built and the only one still with the factory bed) went for $5,200 sitting in a junk yard needing to be towed home and redone totally.
One fully restored (to show quality) / perfect condition 74 wagon with only 19,000 actual miles sold to a very motivated buyer at $32,000. I don't consider this sale a true "market" value for a number of reasons. The 74 was extremely unique in that (a) it was the last year for the wagon and (b) only 24 (or was it 42?; anyway only a handful) were built. So this was a very rare, unique car as to miles and condition. Plus the buyer was looking to replace a car he had regretted selling many, many years ago.
