Installing the electric fans is pretty simple but you have to make a couple of modifications and run a few wires. As shipped, the fans are “pusher” style and intended to be mounted on the front of the radiator. If you have air conditioning, this will not work without some modification. If possible you want to mount the fans on the backside as “puller” units. To make the fans “puller” type, you have to (1) remove the blade from the motor shaft, turn it over and reinstall and (2) wire the electric motor “backwards” so it will spin in the proper direction. This is actually easier than it sounds and clear detailed directions are included in the box.

Once the fans are set up as “puller” units, lay them on the radiator and mount per the instructions using the included plastic ties threaded through the radiator core. I mounted my units centered left to right and most of the way to the top of the core. Route the wiring where it will not be caught by any fan and secure with more plastic ties. Install the radiator.

You should mount the thermostatic control probe in the radiator core immediately under the upper hose since this will normally be the “hottest” area of the radiator when the engine is running and returning water to the radiator. A plastic fitting is provided to attached to the radiator core using more plastic ties and then the probe is inserted into the fitting.
